Description

Hops Ferment is a liquid concentrate made by fermenting the flowers of Humulus lupulus (hops), a member of the Cannabaceae family long used in brewing, food preservation, folk medicine and body care. Hops tissues carry a broad set of secondary metabolites — terpenes such as myrcene, humulene, linalool and xanthohumol, along with flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins and resins — as well as enzymes involved in secondary metabolite accumulation, including polyketide synthases and prenyltransferases. Fermentation draws these compounds and enzymes out into a potent, bioavailable liquid that can be applied to other plants.

Soil Supply Co. produces the ferment through a controlled process using standardised feedstocks and our own Effective Microorganism Concentrate, along with added bacteria and yeasts. It is a biostimulant rather than a fertiliser — it carries no meaningful NPK and is not intended to feed plants directly. It is best suited to flowering and fruiting plants, or plants about to enter flower, particularly those that produce aromatic compounds.

Apply at 1–5 ml per litre of feed water, two to three times weekly with regular watering. Compatible with other fertilisers. As a biostimulant, less is more — higher rates offer no advantage.

Soil people, same as you.

Soil Supply Co. started because we got sick of paying premiums for inputs that under-delivered. If we wouldn't put it in our own soil, it's not on the shelf.
